PIAF 2017 Young Creatives
Young Creatives is a development program that provides aspiring arts professionals opportunities to develop their skills through engagement with Festival events, artists and practitioners.
PIAF Young Creatives work alongside performers, directors, producers, writers, artists and musicians, engaging with PIAF’s diverse program and learning skills to underpin their own arts practice. We are seeking passionate Young Creatives who hope to contribute to culture and the arts in Western Australia.
Introducing the PIAF 2017 Young Creatives
I am a 17 year old artist and musician from Perth. I am at Mt Lawley High School and have been part of the SVAPA program for specialist music and visual and performing arts. I love stage acting, especially physical theatre and mime as it is so expressive and dramatic. I also love drawing and painting, writing song lyrics and poems.
I’m a writer (and geek). I spend most of my time obsessing over classic film and performance. After finishing several programs both in and out of the theatre, and the completion of a performing arts scholarship, I’m now working on an upcoming stage show.
Hi! I’m Eilish Jones and I am 16 years old. I’m very excited about working with PIAF because I want to get a taste of what the industry has to offer so I can have a better idea of what I would like to do in the future. I have been involved mostly in musical theatre and am looking forward to branching out into other modes of theatre and performance.
I’m Kesha Girsang and I’ve just completed my final year at Leeming SHS. I’m extremely proud to start this new year with PIAF as part of the team. This is an amazing opportunity for me to grow as an artist and to witness inspiration from all over the world.
My name is Lauren Furr and I am proud to call myself a Young Creative for PIAF 2017. I am currently a student at Frederick Irwin Anglican School, where I achieved the music scholarship and have been playing piano for seven years. I have been writing and producing music for the past two years and being able to create my own music is something that I am very passionate about.
My name is Liam House and I am currently a Year 12 Student at Frederick Irwin Anglican School. I have a burning passion for the arts and, in particular, classical music – and I’m very excited to be a part of the PIAF Young Creatives program this year. I believe it will be a rewarding and enriching experience.
