Their new home; his old ways.
After their apartment in Tehran is damaged in an earthquake, married couple Emad and Rana move to a strange new flat. One evening a mysterious incident occurs at home and Emad struggles with Rana's subsequent withdrawal. As with the previous films of Oscar-winning director Asghar Farhadi (A Separation, About Elly, The Past), The Salesman has a brilliant understanding of the psychology of a marriage. Emad may seem chivalrous, yet a growing impatience with his wife reveals his inner control freak. Winner of Best Screenplay and Best Actor at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
